Rangers are in a good place ahead of their landmark anniversary as they are the reigning champions in the Scottish Premiership though they face a big battle to retain the title from Old Firm rivals Celtic who had dominated for almost a decade while Rangers were embroiled in a lot of issues off the field. Celtic won the league title in the Scottish top flight for nine straight seasons until the run was stopped by Rangers last season. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard masterminded the league title win for Rangers last season.
