Retired Brazilian footballer Kaka sent a classy message to Luiz after he posted a farewell message to both the Arsenal supporters and his teammates. According to ex-Real Madrid, AC Milan and Orlando City star Kaka, Luiz lived another season with great excellence before wishing him well on the next chapter of his career.

Arsenal bid farewell to David Luiz after two years at the club on the back of his £8m transfer from London rivals Chelsea. He was an important player in the Arsenal defence as the Gunners beat his former team 2-1 to win the FA Cup title last season. The North London giants had to do it the hard way coming from behind to beat Chelsea in last season’s FA Cup final.

Christian Pulisic scored very early to give Chelsea an advantage that was wiped out by the spot kick from Gabonese international skipper Pierre-EmerickAubameyang later in the half. Aubameyang then scored the winning goal in the second half as the Gunners ended the season with a trophy under new manager Mikel Arteta. Chelsea ended the match with ten men after Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic was sent off in the second half after two yellow cards.

Luiz and Arsenal then made it two trophies in the space of a month with the Community Shield after the penalty shootout win over Liverpool. The two teams played 1-1 before the Gunners won on penalties.

Arsenal defender Luiz signed a one-year deal when he joined from Chelsea with the option of an extra year. The extra year option was activated at the start of the season. He was not able to finish the season at Arsenal because of the injury he picked up during the 2-0 away victory over Newcastle United.
