REAL MADRID LAUNCH BID FOR SPANISH U21 STAR

Real Madridhave reportedly launched a transfer bid worth €40 million for Dinamo Zagreb ace DaniOlmo.

The midfielder impressed in the European u21 tournament where he was named man of the match in the final match between Spain and Germany.

There are reports that Olmo performances for his country in the tournament have seen more clubs looking towards the player. The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are keeping tabs on his development.

Olmo is a creative midfielder capable of initiating quick attacks and scoring goals. Real Madrid have been on a spending spree of over £300 million on new signings. The Spanish side are looking to ship James Rodriguez to fund the signing.

Rodriguez has been linked with a move away from the club after he was informed by Zidane that he was not part of his plans for next season.  It is understood that the Red Devils are prepared to pay €40 million for his services

The departure of Ander Herrera leaves the club light in midfield and Rodriguez is the latest player to be linked to this role.

If Real Madrid complete this transfer it would be the largest fee received by any Croatian club for a player.

Olmo has been superb for the Dinamo Zagreb since breaking into the first team. The 21 year old whose playing style has been likened to Brazilian star Kaka is capable of producing fast transitions from midfield to attack. He is also an excellent set-piece taker and chips in with goals.

He has won both the young player of the season and best player of the season awards for his performances.

If he makes the move he would continue Real Madrid new policy of signing young talented players as Zidane looks to build a squad capable of challenging for trophies.
